Most of the climate control issues I have read about refer to the blend door for hot/cold not working properly. I have a different issue with mine. When I select "OFF", it wont always turn off, wont turn off right away, or sometimes while it is off it will blow at random for a second or two. Also have noticed on some occasions it will turn a/c and/or recirc on at random times when i have them turned off. This is with manual controls, not the automatic setup. Any clues as to what is up with this? 2007 F150 4.6 SCab

 

the switch panel is bad. Same thing happened to mine and it was annoying as hell.

I went to a junkyard and got a new switch panel and its been fine ever since and that was two years ago. It cost me around $45.

Followup - Picked a replacement unit up from ebay, no more randomness in operation!
