Default clacking noise when ignition on

My 2008 SCrew, 3900 miles, has an intermittent clacking noise. I couldn't figure it out until I was changing my tune today. The clacking happens when I turn the ignition on, and sometimes continues when the engine cranks and runs.

Anyone know what this could be? I'm taking it back to the dealer this week for the flat spots on the tires.

Did the dealer fix it? Did they tell you what it was? My '08 SCrew makes a terrible sound comming from behind the A/C pannel (I think) It won't make the sound if I have the A/C on, when I turn it off, the sound comes back. I also noticed it when I was installing tunes when I had the key on. Not sure if it's the same thing you have going on. Just a stab in the dark.

It's in today, both for flat spots on the stock tires (Pirelli Scorpions) on cold mornings and this clacking. It sounds like you have exactly the same issue. I'll let everyone know this afternoon.

According to the dealer, the clacking is a relay behind the A/C panel and is nothing to worry about. I was mainly in for flat spots on the tires, and they replaced all of the tires. They need to take the dash apart to get at the relay, and I'll get that done on the next service.
