Default CHT sensor

Well my truck has a code saying the cylinder head temp circuit high. My truck was cold and I let it warm up about 15 minutes and the temp gauge wouldn't move and check gauges light came on. Went to orileys got a new sensor and its the wrong damn part. Of course I didn't discover this untill I had taken the intake manifold off. Just wanting to make sure that the sensor on the bank 1 head underneath the intake is the sensor that controls the temp guage. Thanks guys.

I'm almost certain the cht sensor is controlling the temp gauge because there are no other type of ect sensors. Will have to change that sensor regardless because of the code for the "circuit high" right?

Thanks guys. I'm gonna try to find a sensor today. Its either got to be the sensor or the wire.
