Default Chrome Rim Refurbish

Hi - looking for some input here, since I'm not sure of my options.

These wheels were on my truck when I bought it a few months ago. I'm not sure what kind of detailing or protectant was used to make them look good when I bought it...all I know is the first time I washed it after they saw some sand and salt, small rust spots started appearing. I managed to clean them up with neverdull and scotchbrite pads, but took some of the shine off in the process.

I've since replaced them with black / machined face wheels, but I may want to use these 20's again someday. Is it possible to sand and paint chromed wheels w/ black or hyperblack? If possible, I'm thinking about painting just the well and leaving the spoke face chrome, or would that look silly?

Thanks.

You can have them Powder coated..... but you may be able to bring the shine back to them if you buff them out with something equivalent to jeweler's rouge.... then have them recleared.... just a thought.

Thanks for the suggestion - this isn't exactly a chrome climate, but I may want to display some shine in the summer. What exactly do you mean by "reclearing" ?
