Default Chrome pkg wheels Can you?

Can you take the plastic cover off the stock Chrome package wheels?
Are they a stock gray wheel under the plastic cover. I hate the way they look and like the stock clear coated wheel better. Thanks

I think hes talking about the actual spokes on the wheel itself. Im sure you can but it might be on there to protect it from rock chips or something like that.

he is talking about the chrome clad wheels. My expy has them. I'm not sure about what the wheel looks like behind the cover, but I would say it is removable. depending on which way u go, I would even vernture to say any local used car lot would gladly swap you the chrome wheels u have for the non chrome ones you want. I say used car lot due to the fact they would be upgrading their wheels for the lesser wheels you want. Anything is worth a shot. A dealer whould not swap due to the packages on these trucks, I tried my hardest to get the smoked 20's with my 08' FX2 but they would not do it.

They come clean with some Bar Keepers Friend and a kitchen scrub sponge.
I thinking of ordering a set of ford Lightining 20" wheels.

My '06's chrome wheels have metal chrome covers, not plastic. Did they cheap out in '08?

I hated the look of the chrome wheels so I bought some factory aluminum wheels on Craigslist.

I believe we need some clarification(sp) on this wheel.
I am referring to the 20" chrome wheels in a whole. They have a chrome clad cover over the body of the wheel(spokes). He may be talking about the lug cover or possibly the wheel I am referring to above.

Please tell us which wheel you are talking about. I did a bit of googling and the ford CHROME package comes with a few different types of wheels depending on which version of the F150 they put the chrome package on at the dealer.
