Chrome bumpers look good but added on chrome looks tacky. If it requires the use of double sided tape, its tacky.

I hated the horrible looking chrome wheels my truck came with so I bought a used set of stock aluminum wheels for it within two weeks of owning the truck.

I found myset of aluminum XLT wheels on Craigslist for $150 and ended up selling my stock chrome wheels on there for $90.
Ive seen FX4 wheels on there before for around $400. With tires Ive seen them for around $600.

My truck isnt a base model and has alot of higher end XLT options but for some reason came with the bottom of the barrel XLT wheels.

Well according to a couple of you guys, here is MY "tacky" "Mex" Chrome Edition F150 Lariat. And how can black be the new chrome when Henry Ford said years ago... "any color so long as its black."

I , for one, would like to see something original -- the "black" look has been overdone.

I like chrome because it is easy to clean and resist rusting and provides a better protection to the base metals

I do agree that the tape on stuff looks like cat pooh

what looks better?

or

personally to me the chrome seemed out of place on the grill, the color matched looks cleaner and nicer. I do like the chrome bumpers but if i could have had the choice i would have picked PTM bumpers over chrome

Ive been trying to find a decent set of 18" chrome OEM wheels. But they are way too pricey for a nice set.
