Had a similar issue on my wife's Xterra. Was an injector regulator. I think you're barking up the right tree.

OP: Something that slipped my mind before, also check the FPDM for corrosion while you're checking things.

It is a M*** Airflow Sensor, hence the term "MAF" just saying....
