Check Engine light blinking but no codes in my reader
Hi all. My truck running terribly in the mornings (rough idle, bog down, etc.) and now it has gotten bad enough that it has made my check engine light blink the last two mornings. Went to auto parts store to get the codes read nothing came up.
Anything I can do?
update: Searching some info in google, and find that post is amazing. https://www.autoguysland.com/check-e...ight-no-codes/

it will tell you under test results the raw data that is short of counts required to set code by cylinder real time data . . You have misfires that can be seen on most readers on mode 6 . Ford has threshold set high . In short you have bad boot/ plugs or corroded connections to cops ,any connector that doesn't lock on needs replaced . Plugs must be done perfectly or else. Torque them in 25 to 28 foot pounds . Clean hole out with carb cleaner . 5.4l needs sp546 plugs on most I don't know what year you have .
You will like the amazing amount of data available . It Is cheap too.
