Default Check Engine Light

I know I have seen others comment in the past, but just cannot find the discussion no matter what keywords I search. I did a modification on my airbox that exposes the K&N filter almost as if it is a true CAI. I now have the light coming on. I thought maybe its because of the initial amount of extra air I am sucking in. Maybe I drive it for a short time to allow the computer to adjust and then clear the code. Well, it came back on? I know others have had this happen, but am unable to figure what to do. Would the same thing not happen with a regular CAI? What was the fix?

Get the code checked. It may have nothing to do with the intake. By the way there is no extra air coming in, it's a naturally aspirated engine it can only take in so much.

I also just cleaned the filter and it may not have fully dried. Possible that maybe a little oil could have gotten on the MAF?
