Default Check Engine Light

I have a 2006 FX4. I was on the freeway today and I went to pass someone. I floored it and the truck started running like crap. It felt like it was running on 6 cylinders? Anyone else have this problem?

You need to go the light checked so we know the exact trouble codes. It's probably a misfire which means either plugs or coil packs need to be changed.

My buddy has the exact same issue with his and he has a misfire in cylinder #7. My truck feels the exact same way. He replaced a coil pack with no change. I plan on getting it read next week. The problem is the light goes on and off.

Default running crappy

I WOULD LOOK FIRST FOR A VACUUM LEAK . I mistakenly switched two vacuum lines that immed . caused the ck. eng. light . i did not know at the time . when i found out , i switched them and the light went out as i walked back around to check the light. My point is a vacuum leak can occur at any time and my truck ran like crap when i made that mistake . I'm all for checking the least expensive way first . good luck and let me know how u fair.
if you have small diameter plastic vacuum tubes , they crack and u may not see them .
