Changing wheels
Hello all. I have a 2008 regular cab 4x2 with the crappiest 17" steels wheels Ford ever made. I am looking to buy a set of factory 20s for the same year. i know my truck has TPMS's. Are these the screw on type or the ones with the band? If they are the ones with the bands, can I use the same sensors and just buy new bands Thanks.

08 will have the band type. I can answer if you can reuse the old sensors or not. There are other on here who can answer that for you.
Heres some reading that might help. https://www.f150forum.com/search.php?searchid=12308658

You can use the old sensors and cradles.. all you need are new bands which are just big hose clamps. The OEM bands will need to be cut to remove old cradles and sensors.. they are factory crimped. When installing on new wheels make sure they are opposite the valve stem.

If you would be interested, I have a set of 18" wheels and tires that came off of a 2008 FX4 (I think). No TPMS.
Wheels are in very good shape. They were summer only.
Tires have some tread left but should be replaced.
