Oh ok! See that is different than upper and lower. Just swap those out and get it realigned.

Not saying it’s not a good idea to get an alignment to be safe, but there’s nothing about replacing ball joints that has any adjustment built in.

Agreed there is no adjustment. If I were a super genius! I could really tell you what the effect is having a LBJ and a UBJ each with a 1/2 degree of play. And, how that would translate into off degrees at the pavement. But, I'm no genius so I would replace them align, and ya'll can do what you want.

Are these tough to replace? Is it a expensive fix. Unfortunately I can’t lie on my back due to surgeries.

The whole lower control arm (with the ball joint) is about $220 each, and UCA is about $120-150 each. If you just replace the LCA ball joint, that's like $25 plus the ball joint removal kit that's like $50. You'll have to lay on your sides to get to where the bolts for the LCA are on the frame. The tie rod ends are like $30-40 each

It also depends on who you have do the alignment. I think I paid about $230 to have Firestone do an alignment a couple years back (It included a new tire)

.... or you can go the route I took and get struts/springs, sway bar links, UCA’s, LBJ’s, and rear shocks for less than $450 shipped. Rock auto is the way to go if you’re on a budget. They e been great for me for the last 20k miles.

@Lenn I bought my rear shocks and struts with springs (Sensen) from Amazon, and my stabilizer bar links from Rock Auto. I plan on getting the LCA ball joints and UCAs from Rock Auto.

...and I got an alignment at the dealer for $110. Don’t discount them, I’ve often had dealers come in cheaper than other places.

Going to see if the garage where I bought it will pay for it. I’ve only had the truck a couple of days.

That's why they come with 30 day warranties.

Hopefully he honors his commitment. Truck does have over 183,000 miles. Apparently in Mass there is no warranty for anything over 125,000 miles. He did say if the truck had any issues to call him. Hoping he doesn’t get the parts from a junk yard.
