Default Change in interior temperature?

I have an '08 Lariat with the digital heat/ac controls. When it's colder outside, if I leave it on a certain temperature (example 70 degrees) it is nice and warm for a little bit and then all of the sudden is blowing cold air. After you wait a few minutes, it blows hot again. Anybody have an idea of what the problem could be? I never had a problem like this with my '05 that had the standard dial heat/ac controls.

Advice?

I assume you also have the inside/outside temp sensors that show up in the display panel? This is usually standard with the auto temp control feature.

I'd suspect one or both of these sensors is acting up, confusing the auto temp control feature of the A/C and heating function.

Cool

This is a normal function of climate control. There has to be a difference in temp to effect a change. Mine does this also. I have tried turning off the Auto function and just changing the temperature set point a few degree's and this seems to work well.

I had the same problem with my 08 Lariat. Took it to Ford, there is a TSB on the control panel. They replace the whole panel. Problem was solved.
