cepek torque backspace
Searched the forums and Google images about f150s and the cepek torque wheels without much success. My question is about the 5" backspace on the 17x8.5s. I have a 2005 4x4 with a 2.5" HBS front level. I really like the torque wheels in the gunmetal color to go with my dark shadow grey truck but don't know whether the offset and increased width over the stock rims will place the tires too far beyond the fenders for my taste. Oops. Sorry.... I'm wanting to run 295 70 17s on the cepeks. Anyone have first hand knowledge about these wheels and tire set up? I can always put on a mild flare if needed but really don't want them protruding more than an inch. Anyone? Maybe 285 75 17 for a slightly narrower option?
i don't have those rims but with the math... 5 inches of backspacing on an 8.5" rim, it won't stick out too bad... i have 17X8's with 4.5" of back spacing with 295/70/17 toyo m/t's and i have maybe an inch sticking out... you should be almost exactly the same if not a little less.
Decided to put 295 70 17 Falken Wild Peaks on the Cepeks unless anyone can talk me out of it. Really like the looks and what I've read about them (not to mention price) just a little leery of the 10ply E rating being too stiff. I guess I can just air them down a bit to help with that. Anyone regret purchasing these tires?
