Lightbulb Center console project.

I know I am doing everything backwards but... oh well. I have just bought a 2009 Ford F-150 FX4 center console with shifter to install it on my 2007 F-150 that has the shifter on the steering wheel. I called Ford and told me that the cable will have to be modified so I took care of that... I am aware of the dash design and, I have that covered to have the gap worked out with a custom made extension from the center console to the dashboard. Question now is, is there anything mechanically I should be aware of? It is a hell of a project, at least for me! Please I need some input help in here. Thanks.

Wait... you had a steering wheel shifter, and you're converting it to a center shifter? On purpose?

The project will be finished tomorrow. It was not as hard as i thought. I will have pictures of the process posted. Tomorrow i will have the transmission cable connected and tha's it! . About the gap, amazingly the 2009 center console fits PERFECT! on the 2007 with absolutely no gap... you will see the photos. The side panels fit like a glove. I can't wait to have it all ready tomorrow.
