Default Center console

I have a 2007 FX4 with the center console. Whatever wraps the console (textured leather) cover is starting to fade. Are their any fixes? I have used vinyl paint before on another vehicle and the results were terrible I had blobs and thins spots all over. Is there any fix for this, or am I just stuck with the fade?

Have any of you had this problem, what were your solutions?

Look in your yellow pages for an apolstory shop. Let them dye it for you. I had a leather drivers seat fade from the Florida sun a few years ago. Contacted a local automotive apolstory shop, and they dyed the seat. It was a perfect match to the rear seat that did not fade. Was not expensive either.

Buying off of the internet is indeed another option, but sometimes the picture shown for the item for sale is misleading; you may end up buying something worse than your original part.
