CB setup good or bad?
Hello everyone, I just recently purchased a radioshack antenna and soon to buy a Midland 1001z cb radio. I was wondering if anyone has either one of these products and if they have good or bad remarks about them. The Antenna is SKU # 2100989
I was reading online about it and people have been saying the magnet is terrible and falls off anywhere above 45mph+ However I've been on the Highway ((70-75..... I got a somewhat heavy foot )) and I haven't experience any problems... in again mine is only two days old. Now a buddy of mine is saying mine is the newer model of the one their saying is bad, because my is Fiberglass and has a coax coat or something, and should be better. Anyone can verify this?
And the cb radio I'm basically sold on, I think it's a good match for what I want, something not pricey, gets the job done, and doesn't break easily. If anyone can help me with my current setup that'll be very helpful! Thanks in advance!

Not gonna talk bad about equipment I have not had experience with, but when you get your radio installed, please check the swr on that antenna. If you cannot get it below 1.5, return it and get a wilson 1000 or a k-40. Always check and adjust for swr no matter what tpye of antenna you use. I have just had bad experiences with radio shack antennas. You might do better though, so go ahead and give it a try.
