Hey,

I've had my screw for almost a month now done a few things (flowmaster 44s, tint, and weathertech floormats), and before I level and get new tires, I wanted to put my CB radio in. However, I have looked for a while, and can not find any good places to situate the unit.

Anybody have any installations that they've done that they like? I have a Cobra 19DX IV (yes, the smaller, common one) and I'm trying to put it in a 06 screw lariat fx4.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

most of my buddies have just wedged it in between their seat and consol and it doesnt move a bit and they put the mic clip on the dash next to the ac controls.... i have a bench seat in my 05 xlt screw and i just put mine under the flip down consol.

 

hey if u have a screw that has the bars on the roof i mounted mine in between them

 

I looked to wedge it between the seats but I use it a good bit (or used, before I got this truck) and it's hard to work with right there.

I have the sunroof, so that won't work.

In that picture, the little trash compartment / ash tray / coin collector right under the cigarette lighter (bottommost thing on the woodgrain) - is that possible to take out and put it there? Anyway it can go in the console itself?

Sorry if this sounds stupid, I just don't know anything about Ford anything (only owned this truck for about 2 weeks now)
