Default Caution against led bulb without using resistor

Yeterday my cruise control stopped working out of nowere i looked this up on multiple forums and most said led replacement bulbs being used without resistors will do that well i didnt think that could be it because ive had led taillight bulbs for over a year and nothing changed except my blinkers seemed supercharged after i put the bulbs in so i checked for fuses and couldnt find any cc fuse and everything else on the truck is fine just the cc wont work so i said **** it and put the stock bulbs back in the tails and went to test it and wala my cruise is working again im astonished ill not be using led bulbs again unless im using resistors aswell im just glad it was a no money spent fix i have an led bulb replacement for the dome light on order too guess thats 15 bucks down the ****ter cuz now im afraid to use it

Ive heard the led taillights work fine if they have a resistor built in supposedly the cheap ones dont but the good ones do....id get some but i want them white and they dont come that way so id have to paint the insides myself whenever i do get some

Any of the bulbs that blink can't be directly replaced with LEDs. The LEDs don't draw enough current for the blinker mechanism to work correctly. If you're replacing the entire tail light with, say, Recon LED tail lights, they will already have the proper resistors installed. Any bulbs that don't blink can be replaced with LEDs without any ill effects (interior lights, reverse lights, third brake lights, etc).

I bought ipcw tail lights and they already had resisters built into them. If you just buy the led bulbs you can buy resisters for them. You will need a 25 watt, 25 ohm resister for tail lights. And if you do led marker lights you will need a 6 ohm 50 watt resister.

The only LED that may affect you CC is the third brake and tail's ...the swap to interior LED's /lic plate/cargo will not affect the CC....as stated above you can't buy cheap LED tails/third brake.

Idk of this helps the problem because I glanced through the thread, but I changed my turn signals to switchback LEDs and to fix the hyper flash/cruise control issue I got a new flasher which controls all of your brake lights and turn signals. It have the right amount of resistance to fix the issue. 5 dollar part from autozone got the job done. And don't worry about interior lights, because switching to LEDs is better for the battery because LEDs actually draw less power, hope my info helped

Yes ...you can buy a new relay for your LED flashers...
