Default Bilstein

Halve 07 Lariat, Ordered 5100 's for front & rear, I got the rear the fronts never arrived, have tried to order 10 times from different dealers, no one has them in stock!! I called bilstein & was told the fronts have a new part # that hasn't been released yet & won't be for another month or so!! Doesn't make sense to me but sure a pain in the ***!!!

I spoke with the guys at TAP Auto and F150 lifts and both companies said that the 5100s are on back order.

That'll show 'em. I bet that TV rides smoother than your truck.

But enjoy. Too cold right now to be crawling underneath anyway.

I tried looking for a pair myself and couldn't fine any. Local 4 wheel parts store told me the pro comp ride height adjustable shocks are exactly like the bilstein and a little cheaper too. Decided to go with those since I couldn't find any bilsteins and I love them.

Slack, how's the ride? And how did it level out? I've been looking at them, as well. I've heard that the ride is terrible, and the body rolls through turns. Then I've heard that it rides well on the street, but doesn't do well with some minor off-roading.

I think the ride is good, it's a truck so it won't be great. It is a 2.75" level, which leveled it out almost perfectly for me. I haven't done much off-roading in my truck, but going down gravel roads is still kind of bumpy but not as bad as OE struts with 100,000 miles on them.

2.75"? Really? I thought they were only set for 2"? That's outstanding to hear!
