Default You do realize the big spindle nut has to come off

That big spindle nut is one time usage it is torqued on 295 foot pounds , You have to use a breaker bar and a long cheater pipe on it to make it move / The threads are stretched to fail can't use again . If you don't have at least a 3 foot inch and quarter pipe then you need one unless you are tarzan . I'm 6'3 and 250 and I need one .
Only 4wd have separate rotor , you must remove bearing and hub assembly -one piece .

Thanks. I was given the option at Advance to buy the separate rotor, even though I specified 2wd. My other option was to buy the entire assembly and go that route. Is all I have to remove the spindle nut? Not the 4 on the back of the rotor as well?

I think your on your right track. If you go to advance and enhance for the whole assembly rotor and bearing. I'm sure you can replace it. Research some videos and on the forums here. Many guys have writeups. Save some money

I appreciate the humor and helpful response.

I think your problem here is this. And shame on Advance, but I'd expect no less from them...

The rotor alone is for 4WD trucks. 2WD trucks have the bearing pressed into the rotor. You've no other choice but to change the bearing and rotor. You'll also need to buy new spindle nuts once you remove the old ones. They're torque to yield and can only be used once. With as much as you've done to try and get them off, they ought to just fall off once you take the spindle nuts off.

You might not have to take that trip to the shop after all.

Sounds like a plan. I hope they have the 36mm socket. So, no need to undo the 4 bolts on the back? One video I watched, they do remove them.

Another choice would be to buy the Centric conversion kit. Then you'd have a two piece rotor / hub like the 4wd trucks.

I actually just watched it before checking here again, thanks. I guess my original search led me down a path of 4wd videos. You know youtube if you keep clicking videos from the side, they are "related" videos but not from your original search.

Im back on track now. Thanks everyone with helpful responses.
