Default Can I?

Can I nightshade over my clear coat? I want to go a little darker on my tails and third brake light, but don't want to ruin anything. Any wisdom would be great!

Yep, just lightly sand with some 1000 grit. Then wash and spray with night shade... Then clear again

Is VHT NightShade the best route to go? I've seen some sweet lookin' tinted/shaded tails and they're always NightShaded, but a few years ago I didn't have the best luck with it on my Ranger tails. Actually, I loved the look of them, but the "sanding" was what ruined the look. Followed pretty detailed instructions from numerous peeps, and they just came out scuffed/scratched to hell. They still looked good, but not as good/'shiny' as if they weren't sanded/rough..

1000 grit will work, but you need to finish it with 1500 grit if you do. Chances of it peeling from weather on the back of the truck are slim since the air never really slams anything into it like the front so I may even go as far as to say skip sanding at all. The front takes tornado speed winds and debris, the back hardly gets a whisp of air.
