Default Can this be adjusted?

Hey guys, when I start my truck (04 5.4) and just rev the engine in park. My rpms seem to take awhile to go back down. I was in a friends 06 F150 and when you rev his engine it seems to go down a lot faster. So I guess what I am saying is their is faster response time going up / down in rpms when he hits the gas. Both are 5.4 with no mods. I don't sit in my driveway and rev my engine all day by the way I was just wondering if this was something that is wrong with my truck

If the engine is cold, it will take longer for the revs to drop. The colder the temps when first started, the more you will notice. Try it when it is already warmed up or after driving a while and see if it still does it.
