Camshaft position sensor broke off into engine
I have an 04 f150 with the 5.4L v8 triton.
Yesterday I had a bad camshaft sensor code thrown at me so I went to replace the sensor, and it broke in half leaving the plastic housing stuck in the hole. I found a video online about using JB weld epoxy (the steel stuff since the plastic epoxy didnt hold well enough) and putting that into the housing, then screwing a lag bolt in and letting it set, effectively giving you something to pull on.
I did this....however upon screwing the lag into the JB....the house broke loose and fell into the engine. HOW DO I GET THIS OUT???
I've heard using a vacuum hose, draining the oil and hoping it comes out with it...flushing oil through till it eventually flushes out...any advice on this would be spectacular. I will not be turning the engine until I know it is safe to do so.
