Default Cam phasers

Im getting my cam phasers replaced today...

Can anyone tell me what to expect

I've been feeling lack of power and getting about 10-12mpg on the expressway

Think it'll help out any I've heard that the timing chain for the phaser can become loose causing lack of power...

mine does the same thing, but no loss of power yet. i have talked to some ford techs that say the reason the phasers go bad is lack of oil due to the timing chain tensioners leaking which is what causes the chain to be loose and the loss of power. from what you say, if it is the tensioners leaking causing the oil pressure to go down at the phasers... new phasers only fix the symptoms and not the problem. which means the new phasers will last for a little while but the rattle and power loss will be back.

i am not trying to be a, "know it all" by any means so i apologize if it came off that way. do wait and get other opinions though, i have been a diesel tech for just over three years but only been a ford owner for three weeks...lol

So u think they should add new tensioners and new chain? I heard a guy say that the noise could come from a "lifter"
