Looks like this issue was in the 2005-2005 years, correct? Is this a problem that surfaces around a certain mileage? I am looking at a 2004 with 80,000 miles and I am a bit concerned with this issue. Should I be concerned with this issue, or do you think if this truck had this problem that it would have been taken care of by now?
Any input on this issue would be great!

 

2004-2005 yeah and some newer ones. I had an 04 with 165k still ran prety good I sold it tho. And bought a 2003.

 

make sure u take it on a very long test drive, i just bought a 2004 f150 lariat i test drove it for 45+ minutes didnt make a sound, 1 week later i have a gd diesel in my truck now lol

 

So did all of these have this problem. I am a little ski-dish on buying an '04. Need some more input from you all!!!!

 

I have a 04 lariat with 193000 miles on it. Its still running strong. Have the cam tick but hope the updated solenoids take care of that. I love my truck
