I just bought a low milage 5.4 3v and plan to put it in my 98 cobra , does anyone know if it will hurt my oil flow if I remove the vvt Solenoid and plug the hole?
I plan on removing the phaser and using a v-10 timing gear and a set of hotrod cams with a custom tune, my stock computer will not control the solenoid and I don't know if I should pull it out or just leave it in there ? any help would be great !!!

Livernoise makes a limiter kit for that application. I recommend getting one from there

I seen the phaser locks before I thought about them for my truck, before I did the new phasers , I'm very interested in all info , thank you cyberdude47 for the links posted above !
I'm looking for intake spacers to make a 4.6 3v intake fit it too if anyone knows post it up , also taking any ideas for exhaust ? I have a Mac cat back on the car , was running BBK long tubes would like to have something like that on this motor !! also dreaming of a set of hot-rod cams

 

I have seen the intake adapters before, I will search around for them and see if I can find them again later on
