Not to hijack this thread but where do ya get the phasers on their own? Rockauto doesn't have OEM phasers and amazon only has them in the whole expensive timing kit that includes the tensioners you dont want to use.

I bought mine from my local Ford dealer. I got installer price because I work for a parts jobber in town. They weren’t cheap either.

When the shop did my disassemble though, my phasers were fine. I had a rocker arm seize up and destroy a cam due to a failed timing tensioner.

Did you order online through them or in person? Yikes though...what noise did you hear from the engine with that seized rocker arm?

My understanding is that the tensioner seal was updated on the newer Motorcraft tensioners and that the standard 3V ones are fine to use.
