Default Caliper release???

Everytime I go from park to any other gear in the mornings and release the brake I hear a grinding sound I guess from the brakes...caliper release? And is it dangerous? I've heard it's normal but it's very annoying. I don't hear it much after driving a while but still hear it at times. Advice???

How far do you drive to work?
The calipers should release when you take your foot off the brakes.
After you drive, feel the wheels - if any are hot, the caliper will need to be rebuilt or replaced.
Dangerous? Could create enough heat to freeze up and ruin bearings, hub, etc.
