I got some electric fans to install on my truck and was hoping someone could tell me what wire to tap into on th a/c so the fan turns on when the a/c is on?

look in the how to section, someone did a writeup in there and i believe he pointed out the wire youre looking for in there

 

Thats for an older f150 with the 300 I-6. I doubt its the same color on my truck. thanks though.

he miss typed in the OP he has the 4.6, and no 4.9 has ever looked the good ha, if you read later posts or his profile he has the 4.6, so here is the thread again

Keyed power and the A/C compressor signal can be obtained from the connector bundle that sits just in front of the PCM which is mounted on the passenger side, near the battery. Use the solid red wire for keyed power and the gray with white stripe for the A/C signal.
