A/C doesn't stops when at idle
I have the 5.4 05 lariat with the electronic temperature control.
I've read about this on a couple boards and have seen different answers.
My A/C blows cold just fine until I come to a stop (like a long stoplight or more) and will kick off and start blowing obviously hotter air until I get going again.
Maybe this isn't a problem in some other places but when it's 100 degrees out in south texas this blows.
I've read that it is a fuel economy thing and just normal also. Either way I want ice cold a/c 24/7. Also, read about a door behind the dash that controls the flow from hot to cold air. Don't think it's this since it does blow ice cold just fine when the truck is moving.
Ideas? fixes? suggestions?

This is a crappy design by ford. You have to replace the clutch fan with electric fans and a controller. All said about $500 and your labor + time. Personally, I think ford should be required to change this as a recall but it won't happen. Use the search method on this forum and you will fin plenty of teasing material on this issue, just type in ac.
sounds like you have a air flow problem over the AC condenser coil. The very first coil you see when you open your hood.
The fan has to draw air through the AC coil and the rad. So if either is blocked or your fan clutch is junk. You will not get the air flow needed. This causes your AC temps to go up
