Default a/c compresser help.

So I found today that my truck wasn't starting due to my a/c compressor freezing and not letting the pulley spin and in turn not allowing the crank pulley to spin. what I need help in is eather a link, pictures or anything for pulling the a/c compressor. I am going to do a bypass pulley since it is winter and I don't need a/c in Washington state and it is $120 cheaper. please help if you can thanks.

You need to Evac the system. Undo the belt. Remove the 3 or 4 bolts holding the compressor bracket and the ac lines. I've never bypassed an ac compressor but I'm sure there is a kit out there. Why not just replace the compressor clutch?

cause im poor like Kenny and its $44 for the bypass pulley and $109 for the clutch.. I just talked to ford and they said I can just get a smaller belt and completely bypass the A/C all together and that is only $18.

Can't argue with the poverty plea, but there's only about $47 difference. Huge if you don't have the $$, but then again, you're in WA and may not need A/C. Save your bucks for new wipers! I'd also make sure you have the right belt. $18 sounds VERY cheap for a serpentine belt.

Do a Google search for "ford f150 2007 5.4 belt diagram" (insert your own vehicle info) the images may get you started, but some of the sites take you to actual repair info.

found that I can't bypass the A/C without the bypass pulley and I was wrong with the price actually only $35 with tax. A full compresser is $160 so either way I am saving a bunch of money. I have used my A/C one or two times this past summer so I don't think I will worry about it.
