So FINALLY I have done away with 99.9% of the chrome on my truck. Did my headlights, bought a used set from the "for sale" forums and painted them myself. Smoked the tail lights, plasti-dipped the F-150 badges, replaced the grille and grille surround, plasti-dipped the bumpers and side steps. The last 00.01% is the "FORD" emblem on the grill and center of the tailgate. The plan is to bed line everything that is plasti-dipped. The plasti-dip is bad but I only see it as a temporary fix. Eventually down the road I want a road armor/iron bull type front bumper so I kind of want to wait and do it all at once.
