04 fx4 scab 2.5 in level.. will 35s put strain on my engine tranny? will they fit ok i know they might rub some but do i need spacers if not? where do i get em and how do you put em on
thanks
thanks
35s will fit with some rubbing and might need some trimming
engine and tranny will work a little harder but its nothing regearing can't fix.
I'm not a big advocate for spacers (despite how bad ***** the look with the right tires.)
if you wind up with spacers you can get them at about just any 4x4 or offroading parts store. I believe to take them you have to remove your current wheel and then use the lugs to attach the space. Its pretty simple from what I hear but you might want to look up a little of pros and cons before slapping them on

Do you tow or haul anything? I am not a huge advocate for adapters. As far as spacers have seen plenty done and work just fine. I would make sure you run an ET style lug to regain threads from the spacer taking up.
What are the specs of the wheel you are running (ie offset width etc...) it will tell you everything you need to know. I ran a 2.5 level on my 07 scab lariat with factory 18" chrome clad wheels with a 305/70/18 pro comps (comes out to be 34.8 tall) only rub i had was backing out of an incline turned full lock to the left.
