i just got a lower billet grille for my truck. i went out to install it and i have nowhere to mout it to. i see online there is a replacement bumper grille. is this the part ill need to install it securly or am i missing something else.

seem like even with this ill only be able to mount it to the 2 lower holes,what about the front.my bumper right now is the all chrome with this cut out(above) and no fog lights if that helps.

Did you contact the vendor (manufacturer) of this grille? My lower grille was made by a member here on this forum (FoMoCo). He supplied brackets on his that mounted this lower grille to two lower screws (obvious when the grille was set into place).

I'd contact the vendor and ask. It's difficult for anyone here to provide a concrete answer unless they have the same grille. I would say however that if it's required that you have to replace any part of the lower grille to make this setup work, it should have been noted in their advertisement, which would have had me looking eslewhere.

 

i bought the trucj with 60k on it. the carfax was good but i think the bummper was replaced or maybe some of these trucks didnt come with that bumper insert. im new to these f150 ive only had broncos so if anyone has bko question let me know.also its a bolt on grille,as i mean bolt over

 

if it is the lower grill and the middle piece then no there shouldnt be anything there.... seems like a stupid idea on fords part bc i think it looks plain and something is missing but that is the stock way
