I'll throw my Westin into the thread. Was on truck from previous owner when I purchased the truck about 2 months ago. I took mine off since I didnt have any room between the truck and the fridge when I parked it in the garage. This model allowed tow hooks to stay on.

As you can see from the 3rd pic, the previous owner had an incident with it. Someone backed out of their driveway as he was driving down the street. The accident didn't damage the grille guard itself but instead bent the attachment bracket to the tow hook, raising the driver's side higher. When I took it off, I brought it into a fabricating shop I work with and they made it straight and as good as new. Even though we do not have it on the truck, I will say what I did like about this model/style was there was no drilling required. All brackets fit to existing hardware. Just wish my garage was deeper so I could keep in on, especially with my recent history with deer.

Question

Not trying to steal this thread but i was looking at a Hunter brush guard for 06-08 f150's and it says it will only fit a 4wd truck. I have a two wheel drive truck. Is there really a difference between the mounts on a 2wd and 4wd truck? or will this guard also fit my truck?

My brush guard came with the mounts for 2wd and if ya have 4x4 you just use your tow hooks.

I really don't know what ta tell ya on that note but I do know that sometimes it does require a few differences, but on the other hand i wouldn't think there be a difference, it is best to ask a professional about that or even the manufacturer ( Hunter Brush Guards) and email them the question I'm pretty sure they can help ya. I did the same thing with ranch hands service people.
