F150 Lariat 2008, V8 5.4, Having problem with brake lights cumming on and then going off when truck is parked and turned off. Don't stay on long, sometimes for 2 or 3 secs some times for 15 or 20. Sixteenth to eighth Inch of play in pedal, can pull up goes off for a little while. Braced up with stick no problems is there a way to adjust?

First thought is a weak or obstructed spring, or whatever makes pedal return.

The spring in the brake lamp switch itself is also pretty damn strong
I would be inclined to replace the brake lamp switch and retest it

 

Yeah it sounds like a failing brake light switch.
