Brake Rotor Question
#11
I used Advance's house brand rotors (Wearever I think?) and I've been pretty happy with them. Dirt cheap if you use a discount code, and even cheaper if your debt/credit card offers the 10% cash back at advance like mine do

I pull a 16 foot camper (6500 pounds) using the stock braking components (except for the pads, they were replaced last year with Wagner), and I have not experienced any issues with the stock OEM type rotors.
However, I don't pull it up or down any severe hills or steep grades. If I did, I'd consider slotted or drilled rotors to help keep them cooler during harder braking.

I went with their Semi-metallic premium pads. My travel consists of going over a mountain everyday for work. I always get stuck behind the "slow" people and my rotors heat up quick. Even with turning OD off. That is why I made the switch.

Appreciate your input! Sounds like I'll be running the same setup as you. Can't wait for them to get here.

Brakes came in today. I am very impressed by their first appearance. All of the rotors look flawless, the brake pads look very solid, the hubs they came with look great, and they even included the spindle nuts which saved me about $30! I'll be doing my brakes in the next 2 weeks and draining / refilling / bleeding the entire brake system just for extra piece of mind. Hopefully won't have to touch the brakes again for as long as I own the truck.
