Default brake question

did some searching and saw lots of topics about mushy brake pedals on 07 trucks. didn't find my exact problem though. ive noticed the pedal getting softer for a little while and last weekend i replaced the front pads and rotors. didn't change the feel so i bled the lines with new fluid until all was clear. no air came out at all. still bad feel. when the truck is idling you can push the pedal down to within about an inch of the floor. pumping doesn't help. with the engine off if you pump it twice you have a nice firm pedal. truck still stops ok, just takes a long stroke of the pedal. any ideas

Doesn't the booster make the pedal easier to push, I don't have that problem.
