In my 2006 Ford F-150 5.4 with 105k, sometimes when i start it, and press the break, i hear a moan/growl noise coming from underneath the hood. only happens when it's 30F degrees outside and only when pressing the brake or just taking your foot off the brake. It's coming from the driver's side around the master cylinder and ABS module and im pretty sure it's the ABS module. I have no ABS light nor a check engine light. This module went bad on our 2000, and thats why i have an idea what it might be. But I heard about the brake recall on some of the F-150's, and wandering if that may be it? Or is it my ABS module, if it's like our 2000 if you unplug it you still have brake function, just no ABS, i may try that to see if the noise stops. Thanks for any help.
