Congrats! That's impressive! But seriously, I have the same problem. It's probably the ABS sensor up front. You have to replace the hubs with the sensor inside. It sucks.

Look in the owners manual, its got some interesting ideas of what it is if both your ABS AND your brake light are on OR if your ABS is blinking or staying on steady, if I remember correctly.....

Steven,
After you try these things, if you still have a problem, check the sensor on your front disc brakes (I assume the rears have the same thing, not sure). That sensor is suppose to read a set of gear type looking think on your rotor. I had one do the same thing and it was due for front brakes, I found that rust and scale had got between the two and the sensor would not read the brake rotor.

Is this the solution for 04+?
There are mixed year replies on all the forums. The 04+ does not have the ring on the brake rotor like the older models.
My rear sensor has been replaced every year. It has never been the issue and i've complained to Ford corporate even when it was under warranty.
I just replaced the fronts, rotors, pads, started the brake lines but the new ones were too short and had to put the oem back on. I'm wondering of the speed bleeders could be doing it but the light only came on when I touched the wires on the passenger side. That's happened before but the light has always went away. So i'm not sure if it's a short or if it's that ring. I didn't remove the hub and check the ring as I thought it was the sensor.

Oh, the red light is the sensor plug. So it may be disconnected or loose. I know because I unplugged mine to re-seat to get rid of ABS light. The passenger side made no difference unplugged but the driver side had the brake light on when I unplugged it.
