Default Brake light

07 F150 XLT, had brakes inspected, fronts were fine, replaced rear pads, rotors were fine, light remains. How do I clear the light or did I miss something?

Thanks

Brake warning light on instrument panel, remains on all the time, I've read the "Youtube" videos, will check out the plug behind panel.

Thanks

Default Light

The brake light switch is on top of brake pedal controls brake lights when depressed and releases safety switch so you can move out of park when you tap on brake. I dont think that’s gng to solve your dash light issue, I have a scanner that can read and clear ABS light, last time I had that issue is when the ABS module quit on me, $$, seems like yours is coincidental to having your brakes done. I wonder if it’s a wheel speed sensor that faulty or disconnected. Keep us posted.

If it was an ABS fault, the yellow ABS light would be on.

When the red BRAKE warning lamp is on, it means that 1), the parking brake is not released (or switch problem, 2) there is a fault in the brake system (low brake fluid, for example) or, 3) more commonly in this generation of truck, a fault in the warning system in the cluster.

How do I clear the light or did I miss something?
You find and repair the underlying cause of the warning light being on.
