Brake light

Default Brake light

Good afternoon my brothers of the Ford world. So I noticed that my brakes needed to be changed , I finaaly got a chance to changed my brakes while I was down to the drums I went ahead a changed the drums also.My brake light had came on and off before I did all the work yesterday.And know it stays on.Does anyone know if I need to reset my light or what could I do ? Please help

fluid level in the master- low level warning or proportioning valve grounding- caused by a leak...or faulty park brake switch.. only 3 that would cause the brake warning light to come on... they all connect a common ground for the light..

Sometimes you need to release the E-brake and pull it up to fully disengage the switch that turns the E-brake light on. If that doesn't work, it's usually a bad connection in the dash. You will need to pull the dash out around the steering column. There's about 4 or 6 screws. Then you can wiggle the plug that goes into the dash cluster on the left hand side and it should turn the E-brake light on and off. I had to zap strap the plug to put pressure towards the windshield to make the e-brake light go off.
