Brake/drive issue?
I'm unsure how to word this, but I will try to explain it the best I can.
I have a 2008 Ford F-150 STX SCab. I love it so far, however I have noticed something perhaps strange going on with it; either that or it was designed that way and I am not used to it.
Anyways, my concern is when I am in drive, everything is running fine, drives smooth and no funky sounds. However when I approach a stop (stop sign, semaphore, etc), I apply brakes like normal, and I noticed that if I step down on the brake all the way down and let off the brake, the truck doesn't do that thing cars do (starts creeping forward). HOWEVER I did notice if I DO NOT step down on the brake all the way and let off in the same fashion it creeps forward like cars normally do. I am not sure if this is a Ford thing or is something funky going on?
I drove a small POS car before this truck, so maybe I need to adjust. I just want to know if that's how the truck is supposed to behave? Only other vehicles besides my personal vehicle I have driven for an extended amount of time is a 2007 Dodge Charger and 2008 Chevy Tahoe for work, and neither behave in that fashion.
EDIT:
Forgot to mention that when it is doing this it is going from a COMPLETE stop to moving. So I will be at a light, completely stopped, and if I wanted to scoot up I usually would take my foot off the brake or half on the brake to creep up, but in the circumstances I have my brake pedal down all the way it doesn't function that way.

I think I understand what you're talking about....your truck has a low idle speed or the Torque converter has to have more RPM's to engage the Trans.

Well I actually reposted this same question in the general forum and users have said it is normal and there's do it too, I'm assuming you're trucks do not do this?

My truck would "stick" before. But I knew it was my driver side front caliper. It was sticking and grabbing the pad. It got to a point where I had to rev it up a bit and it would click (as in breaking free kinda click) and then it would be on its way. I replaced both front calipers and its back to normal now. It will only creep forward if I am on a level or downhill slope though. Uphill slopes don't usually allow the engine to have enough power to creep up at idle.
Might want to pull the brakes apart and check the condition of your calipers. Also, check the e-brake to make sure its not super tight and always grabbing.

Mine actually smoked the pads and smelled terrible one day. Smelled like an electrical fire about to flare up. Replacing the calipers only took about an hour and was easy.

I think it's normal for these truck. These truck idle very low, I went from a little dodge stratus rt to an 04 fx4 screw. My stratus would do like 5-10mph by just letting off the gas from a dead stop, my truck barely moves from a dead stop. I raised the idle with my tuner it went from 500-520 range to 580-600 rpm range which feels much better to me and it still barely creeps when letting off the brakes. Op I thought the same when I first got my truck I wouldn't worry its just what they seem to do.
