Default Brake caliper leaking

I just replaced the caliper on my 2005 and when I went to bleed the brakes I got brake fluid leaking where the the line goes into the caliper. Is there suppose to be a seal underneath that block and screw??

Thanks Chuck

There should be 2 crush washers...one between the banjo bolt and brake line and the other between the brake line and caliper. It's recommended that you not re-use the old crush washers too.

It should be noted that if your new calipers came with cheap chinese copper washers that are half the thickness of the originals then it is recommended that you DO re-use the old ones.

Just went through this with mine. Didn't think anything of it, poped off the old washers installed with the new. Absolutely no way to get them to stop leaking. Took off the new washers, filed/brushed the rust off the old washers and put them on. Presto, no more leaks.

The old washers were about the thickness of a penny, the new washers they gave me with the calipers were paper thin, and that's before install and torque.
