Default Boots and spring

2007 F150 4.6 XLT: I'm just learning when it comes to F150s, several people recommend replacing the ignition boot and spring to improve performance, what is the Motorcraft part number and does it come w/ the spring? Will the Motorcraft boot fit other brand coils if I discover the coils currently installed are not Motorcraft?

Thanks

you can go look under the hood and in about 10 seconds see if the coils are stock they will have a ford parts number on top.
Denso boots are good I think they were the original supplier.

There are many brands to choose from. Avail pretty much anywhere you can buy parts. In my experience, the aftermarket boots/springs have been fine (it is the coils themselves that most people advise against aftermarket).
