Default Blower motor

Ok so my dads 06 the blower for the heat and air will only work on high. That's gonna be the blower motor resistor that's out right?

Does it have auto climate control or a fan speed switch? If it's the auto control and the fan only runs on high, then you've lost the fan control module. (Same as what you said, with a computer attached.) AZ pn JA 1709. $66. Comes out with one screw in the blower motor box under the glove compartment. Just open the glove box and squeeze the stops to open it all the way and get behind it. Only takes ten minutes. If it has a fan speed switch it's the blower control resistor and your parts will be cheaper. Good luck.

auto climate is where you set a specific degree, and the truck keeps it that way by adjusting temperature and fan speed. The old fashion way like my XLT, you set the fan speed and temperature, and adjust yourself.

Ok his not auto climate then, so it's just a blower motor resistor. Is it going to be behind the glove box as we'll or will it be under the hood like on the old 90s trucks?

Both are in the same spot behind the glovebox. Here are some pics...
