Here's what I did to mine, used 5 or 6 shades everywhere, but faded into 3 over the bulb area to make the lights still bright:

Completely forgot I was in the 04-08 sorry but I know, I think its a combo between sun and the camera I was using, cause its not that dark lol. But my dad approved of the light output, so I'm thinkin its good lol I think its cause I left the bulb area lighter. I highly recommend doing it though

Yeah, its about a 4" x 4" square. Not tryin to brag, but it came out pretty good lol better than I thought.
