Default Black is beautiful

In the midst of blacking her out. Bumpers, grill surround, badges, rims, running boards done so far. Next up, them stupid looking vent visors(why i bought chrome I have no idea). One question though, has anyone blacked out the inside housing of their headlights? Thing is way to bright now compared to all the black. Thought of doing it with some of the high heat spray paint. Anyone attempted it, how did it work? Thanks guys.

yup i did it i just used krylon fusion plastic spray paint, here are my results. There is a tutorial around here that does a step by step process, it was a PITA, but well worth it. Have not had any problems with fogging up or not being sealed properly.

Looks good, I'm gonna go looking for the tutorial now. Thanks. And i plasti-dipped the bumpers. Easy as pie, and if they get scuffed up i can redo them for about $10 in an hour or so.

If you decide you don't want to do it yourself, or screw up, or money isn't an issue.. Hella sells the headlights for these model trucks that's already painted.

You can even eBay them. If you find a Harley Davidson model at a junk yard the headlights are black.

Just more options.

The Hellas are nice, they have a carbon fiber look background. Matches the carbon on fx4 dash. I paid $200 awhile ago,now they are cheaper.

Officially chrome free, smoked the tail lights and 3rd brake light today and rid her of the chrome vent visors. Just gotta tint the front windows and paint inside the headlights.
