Default Binding steering

I have a 2005 F150 4.6V8….the steering is binding up when I turn corners, kinda comes n goes, won’t go back to the neutral(straight) position. Had the rack and pinion replaced about a month ago, smooth for about a week, then the same thing started happening again…what’s the deal?

Sounds unrelated but I have to ask.
Are you driving in 4x4 mode? Your symptoms don't sound exactly like this but needs to be asked.

Roger BDOBZ. Try squirting some oil into the steering shaft u-joint under the hood. If that fixes your problem temporarily, it is time to replace the steering shaft. Easy as he said.
